The Inventory
Hoping to have three to four times this by Pirate Daze at the end of June. Another tricorn, some baldrics. more eye patches. I might be overestimating the amount of people who want to be blind in one eye for the weekend for the sake of questionable historical accuracy, but we’ll see. I already sold one on Etsy to a man who needed an eyepatch for daily wear, and he said he couldn’t be happier with it. Pirate Daze are coming!
Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze are coming soon to Westport, WA, June 28-30. From what I’ve heard, It’s the biggest pirate festival on the west coast. I’m busily making pouches, tricorns, baldrics, eye patches, treasure maps and more booty in preparation for this high seas extravaganza.
My entire family lives in Westport, and every year they tell the tales of the invading pirates, and I’m excited to be a part of it. A friend of mine went to town sewing authentic period tunics. She used to be a costumer, so I’m looking forward to seeing them. Should be a fun time. Anyway, back to the treasure maps and tentacles.
The Pouches are Ready
The pouches are complete! These handcrafted suede and veg tanned leather pouches were a blast to make and can hold all the doubloons/nuts. Each is hand sewn, hand dyed, and hand decorated, coated with a light wax to help protect it from the elements, whether you’re feeding crows or searching for pirate treasure.
